When you arrive at Hallie Park please report to the Tournament Director at least 1 hour prior to your first game. The Tournament Director can be found by checking with the concession area. Tournament checkin will consist of the following: 1. Registration/Entry fee confirmation.
Tournament Format:
Rules
1. ASA rules will govern play.
2. Teams not present at their scheduled times will be called a forfeit ( with the exception being if a team is still playing at another field.) 3. Game time limit
is 1 hour and 45 minutes for all games. No new inning will start after
1 hour and 45 minutes. International tie breaker rules will be used
in the case of a tie. There will not be a time limit for Championsip games.
4. There will be a
12 run rule after 3 innings and 8 runs after 5 innings. Run rules are NOT
waived for championship games.
5. No game protests. Any protested calls will stop
the game and will be settled at that time by the UIC.
6. No pre-game infield
practice. There will be designated warm-up areas throughout the complex.
7. Teams have the option of batting 9 players or their entire roster. Teams that bat the regulation 9 players are bound by ASA substitution rules. Teams that choose to bat the entire roster (more than 9 players) have free substitution in the field, and it is not an out if a player is injured and cannot bat. If a player is injuered and cannot bat then the player cannot bat for the rest of the game. If a player is injured after starting an atbat and cannot finish, then their plate appearance is ruled an out, but she still remains in the batting order.
8. This is a rain or shine tournament. In the event of inclement weather, the tournament director reserves the right to adjust the number of games, game length, and schedule to meet conditions. Final Notes There will be full concessions at reasonable prices. No Carry-Ins please. Hallie Park has 5 batting cages. Teams may use the batting cages at any time on a first come first serve basis. Only adults are allowed to run the pitching machines. Only Jugs pitching machine balls are to be used in the machines. These balls are provided. Please , as coaches, make sure all Jugs balls are picked up and returned to their buckets when finished. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact:
